Hype Film
The program statement. This hype video displays the toughness Iowa Wrestling stands for, as well showcase the new visual language that could be executed through motion graphics and short films. (Please note: audio is a temporary scratch track for demonstration only; final production would use licensed or original music.)
Magazine Cover Concept
The anchor piece. I treated this like a magazine cover since Iowa Wrestling carries themselves as a brand, not just a sports team. The collage composition and the "24x NCAA National Champions" framing assert the dominance of Iowa, while the screaming athletes and hawk push the emotion and grittiness.
Athlete Graphic
A single-athlete design built around true freshman Angelo Ferrari and his story. Angelo while in high school was untouchable, going 102-0. However, in his early college career, he was humbled by his first loss, which then lit a fire. The composition itself strips back to one figure and introduces fire as a visual motif, allowing the design to feel personal.
Game-Day Graphic
A game-day graphic for the in-state CyHawk rivalry, structured around the functional needs of a real meet-day post such as the matchup, date, conference and sponsor lockups. The mirrored stares between the Iowa athlete and the hawk carry tension, felt throughout the Iowa sports culture since Iowa State respectively won the past dual between the teams.
