Zolly's Grill - Concept Work

Zolly's Grill is a downtown Iowa City restaurant serving burgers, gyros, Philly cheesesteaks, and classic American comfort food with a loyal following and a brand identity that wasn't quite keeping up. As a self-initiated redesign project, I rebuilt their visual identity from the ground up, developing a new logo, color palette, and branded collateral that gives Zolly's the presence it deserves.

Brand Identity

The hand-drawn logo brings a sense of warmth, authenticity, and craftsmanship, while the deep crimson red and warm amber gold palette draws on vintage diner signage, the glow of open flames, and the confidence of classic American comfort food. Paired with the strong, confident Oskar typeface, the identity balances nostalgic charm with a more modern, polished presence.
